Designed in 1964 by David Rowland, the 40/4 chair was the first compact stackable chair invented and has become a complete design icon. Recognized as one of the most important and groundbreaking designs of the 20th century. You can stack 40 of these chairs comfortably, with in a height of 4 feet, hence the name 40/4. The minimalist, mid-century modern design would fit perfectly in a variety of different spaces.
